Well folks,
Another weekend has passed, and another writing session down. The script for SpaceBase:Infinity is coming along nicely, and should be wrapped up in the near future. Until we have something more substantial for you to sink your teeth into, take a gander at these cool “story board” drawings done by Mike:
As Mike stated in the last post, this whole project is a rather new undertaking for us. Because of this we’ve toyed with different ways to capture ideas this early in the creation process, as we still have a lot of visual aspects to finalize. These story boards represent some camera angles and rough character concepts/movements which will hopefully inform us when the time comes to film.
On another note, random web surfing landed me at Kotaku earlier today where I saw a very cool stop motion Lego video recreating a scene from Gears of War. Since we at SGP are delving into the world of stop motion, all I could think of while watching it was “how does this guy do it?”, and then proceeded to check out his making of video. You can find links to both videos on his blog at Kooberz Studios. Very cool, and after checking out the no frills set-up hes got I’m very encouraged that we’ve got a chance of making this show look quite good.
Until next post,
-Steve
